Rustic but sophisticated.

Welcome to the Cabin.

The Cabin

the cabin, built in 1948 as a simple summer vacation home, retains its original spirit.

redwood for the interior, douglas fir for the structure and complemented with a pinewood floor, it is a very organic building.

the interior is updated and renovated and expresses a scandinavian sensibility of design culminating in an efficient and minimalistic design.

The Town

founded in 1869 as a hunting resort it became the terminus of the North Pacific Coast Railroad in the 1880's. in fact, the railway station building is today's general store. after removal of the railway in 1933 the town turned to lumber as an economic base which it retained until the 80's.

nowadays it is a quiet town with a strong sense of community. a general store, a hardware store and auto repair shop, a post office and a vintage willys jeep restoration shop keeps cazadero unpretentiously buzzing.

The Country

west sonoma and the coast are one of the highlights of california. mountains carved by steep canyons alternating with rolling hills are hugging the san andreas fault on either side.

oak trees, redwoods and douglas fir as well as grasslands are dominating the landscape.

summer's afternoon sun is drowning the land in golden colors, the nights are crisp and clear.

bisected by a few, partly hidden highways it is a paradise for motorcycling and cycling.
